Mechanical Molls Weekend!
Price:£489
Feb 15-19 2008

Whether male or female, it would seem prudent to have at least a few of the basic mechanical tricks up your sleeve when leaving base, particularly if there is no-one at home to come and rescue you in case of a breakdown. As one of our lady riders stated

" I certainly wouldn't class myself as a feminist, wanting to do everything for myself, but at the same time I don't want to look like a blonde bimbo sitting at the side of the road waiting for help to magically appear."

So you may not want to go into the intricacies of how to actually restore a bike, but CBP can give you an insight into some of the tips and tricks for problem solving and avoiding.
If you are a lady rider who wants to spend a few days away in the sunshine, learn about bike mechanics, ride around the beautiful countryside of Provence, and have a laugh this is the weekend for you.

The mornings will be spent finding out how to avoid problems and overcome the most common reasons for breakdown at the road-side; the afternoons will be spent touring around the empty Provençal roads with the odd (hopefully simulated) breakdown thrown in 'en route'. That just leaves the evenings for................socialising of course!

Price £489
Includes: 4 nights B&B accommodation (twin room), 3 day workshop, bike and 3rd party bike insurance, return transfer to Marseille airport or Aix TGV station. Single supplement on request. Does not include any other meals, fuel.

The recently opened Millau bridge spanning the Tarn Valley is the tallest road bridge in the world and really is a sight to behold. Compare that with one of the oldest, most famous bridges in the world, the Roman Pont du Gard, and you can't help but marvel at the construction of both these structures
Our 3 day tour will take you on a trip through time, showing you some amazing feats of engineering, past and present. Starting at the longest TGV bridge (1730m) on the line which was opened in 200???? , it is then only a short trip to the Aqueduct de Roquefavour. We then head west towards the Gorge du Tarn through the magnificent Parc des Cevennes, one of Europe's largest national parks, where we ride through quiet, unspoilt countryside, giving open roads with no traffic for much of the way. Our destination day 2 is Millau, where we will cross the newly built viaduct, seemingly on a trip across the edge of the world. We will spend some time at the visitor centre, learning how this amazing structure was put in place, before starting our homeward bound journey when we will pass back in time once again paying a visit to the world renowned Pont du Gard.
This 4 night / 3 day tour will be taken at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops to take in the scenery, and many other bridges, en route.

Solo riders £545. Rider & pillion £795.Price includes 4 nights' accommodation based on shared room, 3 days touring (bike and guide included) with 3rd party bike insurance. Supplement for single room, on request. Price does not include meals (other than breakfast) or fuel.

Price: from £385 solo rider / £445 rider + pillion

Cyclist or non-cyclist (of the non-motorised kind), we know that a lot of our clients follow the Tour de France each year.
As Stage 13 & 14 of the Tour will be in our vicinity we will spend a couple of days following this French National Institution.

Stage 13 of the Tour departs from Narbonne on Friday 18th July, finishing the day's riding in the beautiful Roman city of Nimes. On Saturday 19th it leaves Nimes for the Alps. We shall pick up the race at several spots along the route during these 2 days.
Whilst we are not following the Tour we shall take you on some wonderful roads around Provence so that you can experience the varied landscape of this region that is the size of Wales. If you decide to ride for extra days we will climb (by motorbike!) Mont Ventoux, the infamous mountain climb on which Tommy Simpson lost his life in 1967, and where a monument is placed in his memory.
